Gaudéte in Dómino semper: íterum dico, gaudéte: modéstia vestra nota sit ómnibus homínibus: Dóminus prope est. Nihil sollíciti sitis: sed omni orátione petitiónes vestræ innotéscant apud Deum.

This "Gaudete" Sunday at All Saints Ainslie we had fun singing this medieval carol:

ex María vírgine, Gaudéte!	of the Virgin Mary, Rejoice!
Tempus adest grátiæ, hoc quod optabámus,	The time of grace has come, of which we wished,
Carmina lætítiæ devóte reddámus!	Let us faithfully render songs of joy!
Deus homo factus est, nátura mirante	God has become Man, nature marvels.
Mundus renovátus est, a Christo regnánte	The world is renewed by the reigning Christ.
Ezechiélis porta clausa per tránsítur	The closed gate of Ezekiel is passed,
Unde lux est orta salus invenítur.	Whence light has risen, salvation is found.
Ergo nostra cóntio psallat iam in lústro,	Now let our assembly sing psalms to him in gladness,
Benedícat Dómino, salus regi nostro.	Let us bless the Lord, greetings to our King.
